Justine's
grave site with a balloon release and a rose ceremony.
December 24th, 2008 Christmas Eve mass was held in McDonnell hall for Justine at
Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 1225 Grove in Glenview. This was the mass Justine & her Mom always attended together.

Worldwide Candle Lighting Queen of All Saints Basilica 6280 N. Sauganash Avenue Chicago, IL. Held annually the second Sunday in December, this year December 14. The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting
unites family and friends around the globe in lighting candles for one hour to honor and remember children who have died at
any age from any cause. As candles are lit at 7 p.m. local time, hundreds of thousands of persons commemorate and honor children
in a way that transcends all ethnic, cultural, religious, and political boundaries.
The Worldwide Candle Lighting is a gift from The Compassionate Friends to the bereavement
community allowing us all to join together in unity to remember and honor the memories of all children so they may never be
forgotten.
Believed to be the largest
mass candle lighting on the globe, the Worldwide Candle Lighting creates a virtual 24-hour wave of light as it moves from
time zone to time zone. Hundreds of formal candle lighting events are held and thousands of informal candle lightings are
conducted in homes as families gather in quiet remembrance of special children to always be remembered.

LaSalle Street Chicago IL. the event was sponsored by Mothers against Drunk Driving (MADD) & Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists (AAIM)
October 9th, 2008 a contribution was made to
The Illinois Fire Safety Alliance 'Camp I Am Me' in Justine's honor at the Fire Prevention Week Luncheon which was
held at Navy Pier in Chicago IL.
Sunday Sept. 21st 2008 at 9:00am The 1st Justine Stevens Memorial 5K
Run/Walk was held at Harms Woods North (Harms and Old Orchard). All donations raised will support Justine's charties. Thanks to
all our runners/walkers for their support!!!!
Sunday Sept. 7th 2008 at 10:45am a mass was held for Justine at St. Hyacinth Basilica 3636 W. Wolfram in Chicago The mass was offered by Justine's Dad John in honor
of Grandparents parents.
Sunday July 20th, 2008 at 8:00am a mass
was held for Justine at Our Lady of Hope Church 9711 W. Devon in Rosemont, IL. The mass was offered by Justine's Grandma (Judy Hertsgaard) to
pray for Justine on the anniversary of her death.
June 18, 2008 a contribution was made in Justine's
honor to the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance 'Camp I Am Me' at vistor's day.The event took place at YMCA Camp Duncan (Rt 12 just north of Rt. 120) in Ingleside, IL.
June 4th, 2008 at Maryhill Cemetery
at 6:15pm we celebrate's what would have been Justine's 23rd birthday .
We met at Riggio's Ristorante in Niles after ceremony to reminisce about Justine.
Sunday June 1st, 2008 at 6:30am a mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Glenview was
held for Justine. The mass
was offered by Danny (Justine best friend) & Danny's Mom Debbie Murov & family to honor her
birthday.

Tuesday May 27th, 2008 New
Trier High School student William Buck received Justine's scholarhip award at the senior awards
ceremony in the Gaffney Auditorium (Winnetka campus).

Sunday March 2nd, 2008 at 9:00am a mass was held for Justine at St.John Neuman 2900 E. Main Street in St. Charles.The
Mass was offered by Justine's cousins Bill, Denise, Jacob, Crista & Milton Krueger.

Instead of receiving birthday gifts Dori Latek asked her birthday guests for a donation to Orphans
of the Storm animal shelter in Justine's name. Paws up to Dori!!!!

December 21st, 2007 Northbrook Fire Chief Mark Nolan donated his Christmas gift (from the Fire Department adminstration staff) to Justine's Memorial Fund!!!

was honored in the ceremony.

October 11th, 2007 a contribution was made to The Illinois
Fire Safety Alliance 'Camp I Am Me' in Justine's honor at the Fire Prevention Week Luncheon which was
held at White Eagle Banquets in Niles, IL.
September 26th, 2007 AMAZING-Six year
old CJ Latek asked everyone to donate to Justine's Memorial fund instead of receiving Birthday presents.
All donated funds were used to support The Orphans of the Storm animal shelter. Thank you CJ!!!!
September 7th, 2007 Lithographers
Club of Chicago made a significant contribution to Justine's Memorial Fund.
September 6th, 2007 The Chicago Cubs honored Justine in a pre game ceremony, her mom Debbie threw the first pitch.
August
22nd, 2007 Wow!!!!!The Cubby Bears Wednesday night softball team dedicated the playoff game
to Justine (they placed 2nd and gave her family the trophy).
